The New James Bond Emerges: A Fresh Face in His Majesty’s Service

James Bond, who is Agent 007, is the prototype of the everlasting secret agent. For about six decades, he was capable of releasing himself from every problematic situation as a movie hero and frequently defeated seemingly oppressive villains. This earned his death in the latest Bond film, “No Time to Die” from 2021, all the more dramatic. But of course that was just the end of  James Bond and not Daniel Craig, who is Agent 007. The Bond franchise is too widespread and victorious for a conclusion. Who could be the following actor to recreate the British undercover agent in the 26th (official) Bond movie, and what should he obtain with him?

The Profile of James Bond

Not everyone can play James Bond. For a long time, there was a detailed condition profile: stunning looks, British delight, edgy, athletic, well-trained, and – last but not minor – interim skills. He couldn’t be too immature – a seasoned undercover agent should be at smallish 30 years old. But not too old either: an era of around 35 is deemed optimal. Subsequently, Bond producer Barbara Broccoli intends to work with the latest Bond for. At short ten to twelve years and to drill three to four movies during that time. A specific group of credibility should invariably be current in fast-paced motion scenes and the entire thing should not deteriorate into a caricature – Sean Connery.

The audience should not recognize the actor too near with a special role. For a long period, dark hair and a measurement of 1.85 meters were even considered standards. But the golden Daniel Craig, who is just 178 centimeters elevated, was not the rather to disregard the unofficial rules.  Pierce Brosnan was even already over 40 when he made his first appearance as 007 in 1995. It just appears inconceivable that Her Majesty’s secret agency would become a female undercover agent. Bond mastermind Barbara Broccoli once described: “James Bond was reported as a man. There are no similar qualities in females as men.”

The Favorite as the New James Bond: Aaron Taylor-Johnson

The most viable contender at this point is Aaron Taylor-Johnson. The charismatic player fits the traditional Bond profile almost completely. Taylor-Johnson is even English – a premium, as many Bond lovers are traditionalists when it comes to Agent 007. At 34, the Brit is presently in the excellent Bond age, and has an abundance of film knowledge, but has not yet been released in a detailed role. He was caught in “Shanghai Knights” in 2003. This breakthrough came in 2010 with a superhero as a comedy “Kick-Ass.”

Taylor-Johnson even has experience with spy movies, as his concerts in “Tenet” and “The King’s Man: The Beginning” confirm. Most newly, he played an assassin in the fast-paced motion comedy “Bullet Train” and an entertainer in “The Fall Guy”. The British tabloid “The Sun” also claims that the Brit has a warrant prepared for signature for the position of 007. Has Aaron Taylor-Johnson possibly already been inscribed as the new Bond, so that we will shortly see him downing a martini in Her Majesty’s Secret Service?
